What do you do when you find yourself stuck in the middle of "something"?
Everyone we know, ourselves included are going through something — a financial crisis, relationship troubles, health scares and even a crisis of faith. Whenever we find ourselves in the middle of a crisis we somehow default to asking God for quick solutions to fix our issues or circumstances — whereas God wants to give a us a fixed vision to ultimately form us into the image of Christ.In this sermon we go into the importance of Formation, the fundamentals of being a "Believer", the Cost of Discipleship to Jesus and even the great cost of NON-discipleship.
25 Now great crowds accompanied him, and he turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? ...33 So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.
28 Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
