God's Healing Through Every Season

There are a lot of trials in my life. Eight years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer. The doctor suggested that I undergo an operation and six rounds of chemotherapy. I was devastated. But we trust in the Lord. We cried, prayed, fasted, meditated on the healing scriptures of God, and had weekly communion. Before the operation, my husband asked me if I had known someone who I have not forgiven in my life. Then I remembered my dad. I have been a Christian for a long time, but I never totally forgave him for abandoning us when we were still young. The spirit of the Lord instilled in me to forgive him and to bless his children from the other family. I cried and asked for forgiveness. The operation was successful and I had my chemo for six rounds. There was also a problem for us financially. There was only one person working. But the Lord uses other people to help us in our times of need. I did not work for two and a half years. Our God is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord that heals, and Jehovah Jireh, the Lord that provides. Forgiveness is also a key for the Lord to answer our prayers.

There’s a lot of tragedy in my life. Almost all of my family members died two years ago, my mom, and my two sisters who died of cancer. I felt depressed. Then, I got sick again. I was afraid that I might get cancer. The doctor suggested surgery. We cried to the Lord to heal me. We recall, and meditate in the many miracles that God performed in our family. This helped us face the new and present trials in our life. God taught us that for every miracle and answered prayer, we have stone pile or monument erected spiritually memorializing the times when God showed up in our life to deliver, provide, or heal us when we called on Him. By doing this, it keeps our faith and trust in God burning, while waiting on the Lord for an answer to our prayers. Then I had my operation. After two weeks, we met the doctor. And the first words she said, were “I have good news, it’s not cancer.” We shouted hallelujah. Our Lord makes a way even if there seems to be no way. I praise the Lord for the many miracles that the Lord did in our life. Even the financial aspect of me being sick was taken care of. And the Lord again uses other people to help us financially. Pray without ceasing, thanking him in all circumstances for this is the will of the Lord. I may lose my family, for they are in heaven now, but I still have my family in the church, who will care for and love me as brothers and sisters in Christ. Praise the Lord.
